CF BWM and B11 ( a few new pics added)

I'll give that a shot tomorrow, let you know how it goes. Most of that coating wear came from chopping out a stump on my fence line

Around 2/3's is my rule of thumb. Go too far toward the tip and either your arm will want to rotate the blade when it hits instead of driving into the cut, or the tip will just slide off the target. On your basic 11 that would put the sweet spot about 1 - 1.5 inches forward of where the current center of wear is.

Nice review on two great busse's. I'd be careful though chopping up toward the tip that it does'nt get away from you. It could come right back at you or your shin. ;)

Great comparison, Jrod. That full convex on the BWM makes a huge difference. My standard BWM is a good slasher, but my convexed one is scary. Right now I am Busse rich and cash poor, since I have three BWMs, including a beautiful LE model. I haven't had the chance to use a B11 yet, but it looks like a practical bush knife to me. Thanks for the review!

Agreed. You shouldn't be too close to the tip or you will also lose effectiveness not to mention the fact that if you are not careful it could be dangerous. It's sort of a feel thing, but you get to know where the knife is most safe and comfortable/effective for you.

Nekkid B11 look great!
