Can anyone please tell me if the handle scales on the cf Harpy are smooth [slipperY] ????

I'd love to confirm it but mine hasn't arrived yet.

I'm 99.99% sure that they are the same as my CF Police which is very smooth. Not textured at all.

Hopefully I'll be able to answer for sure tomorrow.

Yes, mine is very smooth and I guess, if wet, slippery

If your hands are wet, the CF doesn't provide any real help. I'd rate it slightly better than the polished steel used on the traditional Harpy under wet conditions.

My CF Harpy's scales are as smooth as glass. They appear to be for great looks not good grip. The grippy G-10 on the Dodo would be perfect on the Harpy

Got my CF Harpy/SE today and I must admit that despite the rather smooth CF, this knife feels waaaay better in my hands than my SS Harpy :thumbup: :thumbup:

It finally arrived and it's an awesome folder. Much nicer then the SS handled model. Still slick (handles are smooth) but what a sweet blade! Nice and light with a wicked sharp blade.

Highly recommended to anyone who likes the Harpy line or hawkbill blades.

If your thinking about getting one, I'd snag one now why they are still in circulation before they all disappear into people's collections. I know this one has disappeared into my collection. A keeper for sure!
