What do you think about that?

I have been waiting for this knife since I got my first glimpse of it on the forums. Looks like several knives will have to take a back seat (including my spyderedge Millie:mad:). Must have knife for me.

I don't know how I can come up with that kind of money. I'd have to see street price. I do have 2 from the good old days. One I got from James Mattis and kept mostly in the box. Another I picked up as a user. It's a great design and it even has my initials on it! :)

I even wrote a poem about it, which you can see in this thread: The Shabaria.

I want one. I missed the original run, but this one looks like a winner for certain.

I kind of liked the prototype which looked to have G-10 scales. As strange as it may sound the CF isn't doing it for me.

I am in, without a doubt. need one, may be two. Will check with my boss.
Two, now.

$165, more or less. At least one vendor is taking pre-orders.

Because of my high standards :D, I won't purchase any Spydie with an obscured Spydie hole. I don't get the design on this one, either.

Looks to me like the right side scale is cut differently then the left and would probably not obscure the hole when closed. I'd like to see a closed photo from that side to be sure.

You are right. My bad. Didn't see that. The scale appears to be relieved around the Spydie hole.

It's beyond what I can see as having any use other than being a novality.

I am not sure how good Shabaria will be as utility knife. She is the dagger.
Of cause any knife is not for everyone. But this one for me for sure.
This is something else, which Sal shared once

The Shabaria was one of the very early "Ethnic series" models. The original Shabaria was been dated to 300 AD in the Jordan Valley. The shape still is used today for status in the area.

The design was created by Eduard Bradichanski. He was a very gifted Russian/Israeli transplant. Very bright with a good eye and magic hands.

He was originally going to create each of the "Ethinic series" models for us. Unfortunately, he was targeted and killed by Hamas in the West Bank 2 weeks before his models were introduced. They burned his car and his body. Authorities were able to identify him because he had the prototypes for the Shabaria and the Spydercard in his possession at the time. They didn't burn. (The Spydercard was another of his designs).

We sent Royalties to his family for years.

It's a very special knife.

wow crazy story.

what kind of locks do these have? Pictures are too low quality. Liner lock?
Assuming they're like the originals, and I have no reason to believe they're not, then yes, liner lock.
