That doesn't look like Black G-10 in the picture. Is this a picture of the knife for sale?
 
I think you may have mistaken Black Canvas Micarta for Black G10. Both are black but with the Canvas Micarta you can see and feel the cloth fibers. The Black G10 has a smoother and more slippery feel and is also more dark in color.
