Hi, I bought this one in a slightly use condition and decided to give it a make over.
Took the scales off, stripped the paint and gave it a good polish.

Comments welcome

Sweet polishing job!

Thanks, you have to drill the rivets out with a 1/4" drill.

Richard

VERY CAREFULLY I might add. One slip of the blade can be devastating. :( :barf:

Yes indeed, Make sure it's clamped before you start drilling or the blade could turn into a rotating meat slicer.
You will also need special tooling to replace them.

TB - I was wondering what that glint coming from the western horizon was... :D

How long do you think it took to sand/polish after the strip?

Hi, I started it yesterday morning 9 to 3 and same again today.

EDIT:I was lucky with this one, not too many dimples to remove in the grooves.

What's your mailing address? :-) Just kidding.
WOW, that's seriously some beautiful work! Congrats!

While I am not into knives being very shiny, I am very impressed and respect the amount of work that took. Especially the CGFBM. Quite incredible! Thanks for sharing.

There's not much to say about that whether you like mirror polished or not aside from amazing work.
