well most of the game killed around this forum involves leaping from tall trees and flattening the target with a busse between you and their body. but... very nice score and congrats!

I'm going to have to try that. My stand is like 25 feet up though so it might hurt. May have to build a lower one!

no, you'll be ok, just try to spread out like a flying squirrel and slow your air speed down to around 130 knots, you'll be ok.

i've been able to score on much smaller targets at a higher air speed by just using some gymnastic moves to make the hit. try chewing some lavender leaves an hour before the hunt.

That's quite the swing you've got there! Looks like you're putting that blade to good use!

"Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his Busse Battle Mistress, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled..."

Thats funny, Knife Hunter just tried that and it took him two chops:D

well, mine was hanging freely

the chopping block was a great asset:thumbup:

but even with it I am not sure if I could have improved upon that:D

Yeah I'm sure the chopping block made a difference :D

Dunno if I could have gotten it in one free hanging. There was almost 0 resistance though so maybe. I'll try the next one!

Nice pics.

Not sure that can top my awesome severing. Almost full body cavity cut. Near severed the whole body in one vicious swing.
I bagged this beauty right before dusk. I twas a really cold night, there was dew all over the body.
This was a standing stroke, only the spine left un cut. I misjudged the cut a bit. The width of the body in relation to the usable edge of the blade did not leave much room for error. I was a bit off.

I also tried a skull chop, but this was a back hand cut, not much force at all. Went through the skin, and took a nick out of the skull
Warning, very very graphic pics to follow. The weak of stomach, or those who have eaten a large Sunday lunch should skip this one.

No tasty beverage was wasted in the taking of these pics. Don't worry, the bottle was empty for the cut.

AHAHAHAAAAHAA!! You sonofagun you had me all in suspense with my heart stopped and jaw on the floor anticipating gruesome pics of a halved beast.

HA! Finally got some one!

I was going to try my Ash1 cg on some elk leg bones the other day. I helped butcher an elk in this guy's back yard. But his kid was too quick, he threw them into the dog pen, and I was not going in after them with dogs that did not know me, and were already growling.

But I did not have my camera anyway. I am hoping he gets another one, and I will do it right this time. Promise.
