Chain Saw Damascus Hunters - Ron Panko - $266 each

These two chain saw Damascus hunting knives could be a matched pair. One is a clip-point and the other is a slight drop-point or maybe even a roach belly. And the Ipe wood and Spalted Maple are reversed on the handles. But they look great together.

They are each about 8 inches OAL with 3 3/4" blades. Both come with custom leather sheaths made for them by Ron Panko.

Ron forged his own Damascus steel out of chain saw chains and created Damascus blades and hunting knives that have an organic flow. Just look:

This one, with the lighter handle, which is mostly Spalted Maple with a strip of Ipe wood, can be viewed in its entirety here:

This Damascus Hunter, with the darker handle, which is mostly Ipe wood with a strip of Spalted Maple, can be viewed here:

These are great knives. Ron is a very good knife maker.

Thank you,

Keith

what's the Rockwell hardness on these?

Hey Shooter,

Sorry for the delay, but I forgot to subscribe to my own thread, and I just saw this. I don't have a Rockwell on these. They haven't been tested.

I would imagine that with Damascus steel like this you could get different hardness depending on the part of the blade tested.

Thanks,
Keith
