Okay...so, I lurk occassionally on that *other* forum. I noticed in the 'name this Khukuri' thread that there is a photo of some khukuri, all tarted up like a red light district madame (can I still talk like that here, or has PC made inroads this far?)...but damned if it doesn't have very very beautiful basic lines. you know, remove all the extra crapola and froo froo stuff, and underneath is a nice knife.

Uncle, you say that it's a Chainpuri...but that it's not traditional. How does it vary from the Chainpuri you would sell? Obviously I can make a few guesses...

Hi Mike:

The Chainuri we sell looks pretty much the same but without all the bells and whistles.
It comes with a standard scabbard (plain) or a carved wood scabbard like Rusty got. And, it has the HI logo inscribed on the blade and carries the HI unconditional lifetime guarantee. Rusty has maybe 8 or 10 HI khukuris and a village made Chainpuri turned out to be his favorite and I have found that Rusty is a pretty fair judge of knives and guns.
