For sale or trade.
Not sure what the value is. now $250
Here’s a rare Joel Chamblin hunter with a gut hook and sheath made by Joel.
Total length: Just over 9 ¼”
Cutting edge: 4”
Total blade: 4 ¾”
Blade stock: 5/32”
Here’s what Joel had to say:
”Boy that's an oldie, I would guess that I made that in the early 90's, maybe 91,92. I really don't know for sure. The blade steel would be ats34. I did make the sheath but it looks like someone added some rivets or something to it.”
I don’t know if it’s been used. If it was used I can’t tell. There is one hair line scratch that can be seen in the photos. There is some very minor spotting in a couple of places. The sheath does appear to have been used. On the back side the stitching has come out in on part of the belt loop. I guess that’s why the rivets were added. The stag seems to have shrunk a little / no cracks / nothing major…see close up photos.
For trades, I like medium sized slipjoints with wharncliffe blades. Looking for Chamblin, Ohta, Ruple, Halfrich, etc.
Thanks,
Dave
