Big, Bubinga, Birch, and Brass.... Camp Bowie.

This knife and sheath incorporate beautiful pieces of a Yellow Birch root burl harvested from the birch groves lining the shores of Chance Harbor outside Pictou Nova Scotia.

Here's a few specs:
Blade: 7 1/2" x 3/16" O1 steel hand rubbed to 1000 grit satin finish, bolted hidden tang
Handle: Yellow Birch root burl with Bubinga and ebonized Pear veneer spacers
Fittings: Sand-cast brass
Sheath: Bubinga slabs, Yellow Birch root burl inlay on front. Leather wear pad inlaid and stitched on back, fully lined with pig skin suede, leather welt, 5-6 oz. veg tan leather belt loop and harness, 3 oz. leather straps. Solid brass buckles. Finished with Tung oil and buffed carnuba wax on the wood, buffed "Bear Grease" leather balm on the harness. Nice snug fit!
Fire steel: Yellow Birch root burl, bubinga and ebonized Pear veneer spacers, brass fittings

Thanks for lookin'.

Wow! I Like it! Very cool design and execution! I really like the brass pommel and sheath. Very nice wood combo.

Did you sodder or epoxie the guard?
