Man i must be really stupid how about a example placed in the sticky of what right looks like.

An example ... well, if your current username happened to be ranger0468, you would translate the title
"CHANGE USERNAME: (Your username here)”
to the title
"CHANGE USERNAME: ranger0468"

This is not just to make things difficult; it's to make it easy for people to find the thread where you changed your username if they want to get in touch with you....
