I see that BF is now requiring a $350 membership to even mention your web site.
I don't mind paying $75 a year for membership, but $350 is excessive. I paid it for convenience, as I don't really sell here-and the forums are so slow at times they are unusable.
So now, I'll just be a regular guy.

Can anyone tell me how to remove my signature?

I believe you just click on your own name & it opens your account then click on signature option. Then add or delete then save it. Hope this helps!

Where can we read about that Bill?

I've seen a lot of knifemakers/craftsmen that link to their websites. It's a part of commerce, these days...as is social media.
My opinion isn't one that matters; but I think disallowing that membership group the ability to reference their websites is likely to cost many memberships.

Wait what is going on? I thought the $75 was “knifemaker/service provider”? I don’t sell blades much if any any more. I just hang out and chit chat with friends. I paid the $75 so I could mention my website and service I provide for the members here. I also try and help answer questions and earn my keep so to speak. But if it’s moved up to $350 I would probably be gone as well. Are my posts and advise worth nothing? I hope you read it wrong.

ok I just went and read it and yep $350 to even mention a web site. Ok so For $75 I can be a service provider, but how do I provide my service or Promote my service? I got some thinking to do especially considering how popular the free places like Instagram is for promoting services.

Unless something has very very recently changed it's fine mention your website if you’re a maker. I’ll be back when I have confirmation.

Obviously your choice to be a regular guy, however your post is incorrect... sometimes you need to read the fine print.

Dealers/Selling -
  1. You must have a current DEALER membership to sell on this site.
  2. You are allowed to have any other level of membership and take part in discussions, but unless you have a DEALER membership you may not:
    • Mention or link to your business in any way (not applicable to Knifemakers)
    • Use private messaging to sell to members
    • Include your business name in your username
    • Use your signature or avatar to promote your business.
    • Take part in any discussions involving your business OUTSIDE the Feedback forum.

Something is weird - logically speaking. A dealer can mention their website, but a service provider can NOT? That just does not make sense....

Did you not see the bold of my post?

this same type of thing cost this forum lots of knifemakers (and guys willing to share their experience) not very long ago..
like many here i Don't try to sell here because the traffic here is not so good, and seldom results in actual sales..
Hope the powers to be Change or at least Make Clear what you can/can not do before it cost them more MAKERS....
just my Opinion.....

Time to add to the knifemakers description they can post their website

Agreed with Pinoy. Seems like this is an issue of clarity.
Understandable and agree, however if the rules are read it's quite clear that Knifemakers can advertise their websites.

I'll get a hold of @Spark and see if he can add the wording to the Paid Subscriptions page to remove any doubt.
