changing blades?? possible..worth it?

ok just throwing ideas around. I have this older schrade XTAC, I like it ok, but I was wondering, is it possible to swap out the blade for something hi quality like D2, s30v 154cm or something like that. also if its possible, would it be worth it.

I'm sure it's possible, a custom maker could make it happen. Is it worth it? I don't know, you would have to be the judge of that.

I thought there was maybe somewhere you could get replacement blades or somewhere you could get some sort of semi custom blade somewhere. no having something made would not be economical.

The question that comes to mind for me is why? You'd most likely spend a lot of money for a knife that you like "ok". Surely if you look around you could find another knife, in the steel you want, for the same price as a custom blade

the why was the possibility of finding just a better quality replacement blade cheaply, thus making a cheap knife with a really good bade. it wanst something I knew was possible or not.
