Changing scales on a Spyderco Manix?

I like the Manix, but I do not like a textured grip. How hard would it be for someone with no experience to swap out the G10 for something smooth?
Of course this is assuming there is a perfect fitting replace to be had.

Do you know where I could get replacement grips or scales and if I need something besides a screw driver to do this with?

Get a hold of STR on this forum. He does great modification work, and IIRC, he swapped out the scales on a Manix for someone, replacing the originals for some nice light blue titanium scales that he manufactured himself. Then he made a matching "low rider" clip. Check the Gear for Sale, Individuals, Forum for his thread on his own "low rider" pocket clips. He's a great guy and usually works very fast.
