Charge Ti vs. Swisstool observations

Nope, I bought it from a local Galyans store as soon as they came of the truck for the first time. A combonation of a managers discount sticker and I'm thinking the wrong price in the computer (another Leatherman perhaps?) means I only paid $66.00 with tax. Best price I ever paid for a multitool, well, except for the free Wave I got from Tim Leatherman himself, but that is a different story.

would you like to share the Tim Leatherman story with us .

Well, I can't really, as I don't want people to...I guess.... abuse the method. But, basically it was a gift for something I had done. Tim Leatherman is a real stand up guy and I will always support him, no matter what his political opinions are.

I have never actually seen the socket set for the Plus/RS model in the flesh so do not know how/if it attaches, if so I'd assume one end goes over the fixed Philips driver.
Nope, it consists of a long-L-shaped wrench, a plastic bit holder, and a set of bits. You use the wrench separately from the SwissTool, it's not something that attaches to the tool in any way.

Great comparison. I got a Charge Ti for Christmas and have been very happy so far. I have no Swiss tool to compare it to, but it seems much better than my old Wave. I like th epocket clip. I'll usually use that around the house on weekends, but if I'm going adventuring, I'll pop off the clip and use the sheath so I have all teh extra bits handy and free up pocket space for my PDA. I haven't actually gone so far as to use it as my only EDC with no other knife, but with the 154CM blade, it's nice to know I could.
