Charge Ti

Snap-on does have the 5 lobe "Torx Plus", but they are expensive. I had the truck order a few for me when they came around.

Anyway, my Surge has the 6 lobe, but my Charge has the 5. I think they switched from five to six recently. Maybe the military asked for it?

I just picked one up at a super price of $73.00 and couldn't be happier. I really like the tightness of the tool as compared to the Wave I had. Leatherman has really upped the ante with these new tools. I would like to be able to tighten up the bolt at the pivot of the plain edge clip point blade as it does a little wobble in it but I have never been able to find the correct bits to do so. Anyone know where/if these bits are available? Another thing I really like is the bit carrier and how it slides in at the back of the sheath. This is just a neat tool and I'll sure be able to find a lot of use for it!! Any help on the correct bit would be appreciated. :D :D :D

First of all thanks for the info guys,

Where did you get the Charge TI for $73.00?
Do they have The XTI
Do they have both for the same price?
Do they have other Leatherman or Swistools for lower prices?

Is a fact that the old and new Wave uses the 5 point security tamper proof bits.
I order the part # TTXR10TPE2 from Snap on for $12 each one and fits perfectly in my old and new waves, you can tear apart completly all the tool except for the pliers.

My charge XTI uses the 5 point bit only in one screw the other 3 are normal security 6 point bits that you can buy on any hardware store. My XTi was made in January 2005 (you can se the year of made inside the handle of all leatherman tools, 0105= january 2005)
I bought my six bit kit in Army/Navy store for about $2 (is a Brazilian made kit) the T10 bit is the one that fits.

So I hope this help you a little bit more.
