I was going to post this in reply to Chariotz's thread, but given the circumstance, I want the good I have to say about him to be easily searchable and viewable, and not hidden in a thread with my name on it instead.
I sold a couple knives to Chariotz and instantly we're off to a good start. The dude is replying to me practically instantly. He requested some close-ups, and I was busy until the next morning, he was super chill, told me to take my time, no rush. It was nice.
Then we complete the sale. That invoice was practically paid before I even sent the thing!
The package ships, and the freakin' knives go missing.
The man, as a buyer, had to go out on a limb and pay me a pretty nice chunk of cash, and then what happens? The damn tracking number says "Delivered" but there's no knives.
And yet, even under the circumstances, Chariotz was very relaxed and patient. We maintained a high level of communication and we worked systematically through the troubleshooting process.
Hey, btw,
Chariotz4
, Canada Post is still working on the investigation lol. Talk about lightning fast service!
In the end, it turned out that Canada Post delivered the package to the wrong address. Chariotz4 was able to recover the package from his neighbor and he let me know immediately. He was level-headed, and did not jump to the conclusion that I had ripped him off or anything, and I really appreciated him working with me through the entire event.
11/10 would absolutely trade with the guy again.
As a new seller, one thing I learned and highly recommend to everyone else selling:
I double-checked all my addresses, and they were right, but what I failed to do was double-check with the Canada Post clerk that the options I told her I wanted were successfully included in the transaction. I got tracking, yes, thank God, but she forgot to include a signature requirement, which I requested. If I had double checked with her and made sure she included all the features I wanted, this problem never would have happened.
