What’s a weaboo?

i think this picture sums it up pretty good

Oh, this is so cringe... when people asked "Who is this?", he gave like a copy/pasted bio type description, she's an Instagram girl who poses with guns and camo for the "Ooga booga girl with gun" crowd. She was simply paid to slap these in a skit, because... "Ooh, hot girl with knife" is bound to make us buy, right? LOL this is awful and pandering to the mall-ninja weaboo crowd, the worst crowd, the crowd that buys the stuff that IMITATES what Cold Steel was before, I am sorry to say. CS has always been a little mall-ninjay but... the cheesiness of Lynn was delightful, this is ramping it up.

e-girls...not even once

I guess the simplest way to describe them would be people that have an unhealthy fascination with Japanese culture, anime and general media, often going to levels of ludicrousness, childishness, obsession and perversion. These types were a major purchaser of mall swords, due to their katana-like or fantasy nature or being rooted in nerd culture. They'll go walking around with that strapped to their back, saying they "study the blade". Cold Steel can and does appeal to some of these, and it's a shame because I do not want anyone like that caught with the knives I would want to carry, I don't want 'em associated with me. I already fear the title "mall ninja" being levied against me at some of my larger CS carries, but I only use those in the proper places, proper times, so I largely carry what I'd like.

Notice their half-hearted attempts at being "fancy gentleman". A fedora coupled with an anime girl t-shirt is a common sight.

there used to be a younger fella that worked where I do that was into anything Japanese heavily. I used to call him batman cause he had so much crap and tools on his belt it looked like the batbelt.

I caught him once in the back lot with a piece of pvc pipe doing staff maneuvers and leg sweeps against an imaginary opponent.

he wanted to come to a company party in his Samurai outfit.

I thought it was kinda funny, but harmless. I gave him a spyderco endura. he loved it cause it was made in Japan.

Does anyone else notice when she finally finds her knife in the freezer, she subtly disengages the detent with two hands, and once it is out of the detent, she wrist-flicks it open? It is not a real one handed opening.

This isn't so much a knock on her, as she's just getting paid by this knife company to go "OMG where's it at", it is a knock on the new marketing There are plenty of women who are also knife folks, and it is not that hard to find one who you can see the passion for knives just like any one of us here. How hard would it have been to hire a real fan of knives to flick a knife? It might very well help some women decide to purchase if you showed a woman easily accessing and opening a knife in a full purse.

The modern "proof" videos no longer showcase how the edge holds up. It's just sad imitations of what COULD be good or real adverts.

People now associate guys with katana and trench coats with "weebs?"

Does no one remember "Highlander?"😄

I remember when people would accuse others of watching too much "Higglander" if they were into katana or swords in general.

the columbine shooter kids kinda ruined trenchcoats and katanas forever ......
Damned if they just about didn't, when I was in 9th grade I wore a military trenchcoat from a WWII surplus store, that I sewed an Iron Maiden patch on the back of. Was the most harmless kid you could know, but showed up to school looking like the devil, hopefully my demeanor did something to reverse the thinking on that!

There is only one girl on youtube I've seen review CS's "little fit devil" and even she has problems. I wonder if there is a single woman who can wield a CS
