Hi All
Just wanted to share with all you good folks how pleased I am with a small custom knife I just had made by Charles May Knives out of Mississippi. The knife I requested is called the "Lil' Bladie Mae". It is a compact and sturdy 6.5" fixed blade in D2 steel that has camel bone scales with mosaic pins. The fit and finish is excellent. It arrived (only 8 days after I ordered it) in a well made, snug fitting leather pocket sheath that tucks away very comfortably in my right back jeans pocket. It's a great EDC size. From start to finish, dealing with Mr. May was a real pleasure. His communication was excellent and the shipping and packaging were 1st class. Like some of the other well known Mississippi knife makers, his prices make a custom knife really quite affordable.
I'm really sold on my "Lil' Bladie Mae" and the skills and integrity of the maker. Thanks Charlie for making me such a nice knife. This one's a keeper!
I am enclosing a couple of pix of my new knife, and you can check out his gallery at: http://charlesmayknives.blademakers.com/
