Charles May knives??

T.K.C.,What is that handle material?I love it!

Looks like dyed camel shin bone.

I don't think his knives are overpriced for the amount of quality handwork involved... have a Scandi Slitter and love it. :)

He has an accomplished unique signature style, which is not easy to do.
You can look at most all of his knife models and immediately identify it as his work.

Thanks TKC :)

ADD,I agree

His knives are first rate--and you can ask for what you want.
I love my Fire Ant and it lives on a pair of work trousers.
BTW--I got the other part of the bone scales that TKC has, and the colour has come out quite different. It has been mistaken for marble a number of times.

My fiancee's is an OSK-1. Mine is a Lil' Friend with a scandi edge. She works on a ranch and can get away with a bigger knife. The Lil' Friend inside of my canteen cover hasn't raised an eye brow yet. If anything, Charile's knives are underpriced.

I have a "big woods" model in S30V steel. This is one of the best designed and practical knives I own. His knives are worth the money and the wait.

I agree, when I held the first one made, I told Charlie to make me one just like it. The "Big Woods" is one of my favorites.

I now have a Fishbone in the works.

Here's one of mine. I had him make the scales thicker.
]

I'm glad he has started doing this. I've got an awesome little Refuge with two sheaths from him(around 5 years ago), but the scales were very thin for my hands. Never used it, but it's so well made I could never make myself sell it.

I tried to talk him into making the same with thicker scales but he said that thickness was all he would do. I just assumed he wanted all his knives to look the same. I'll give him another call.

His knives have went up, but I felt when I bought mine he had them underpriced for such a fine knife. I still feel there a bargin if you don't mind the wait. Great sheaths as well.

Refuge with a David Mosier, and Sean O'Hare.
