recieved this knife friday..desert ironwood..white liners..mosiac pins..d-2 steel..great feel in the hand..workmanship is beyond belief..what do you think..thanks..

I am personally a big fan of Charles May's knives. I have a Handi Scandi with ironwood, white liner and mosaic pins. GREAT choice!

Where are the pix?
 
You tried to link directly to where it is on your hard drive. I would say either attach it to your post or upload it to Flickr, Photobucket, or TinyPic, then link it like you were trying to do.
 
I recieved a Charles May Friday as well.

I got my Fishbone model with D2 steel, desert ironwood scales, white liners and mosiac pins. I saw the first one of these and after handling it I had to have one. It is a combination boning knife and filet knife with a stiff back.

Charlie did good work on this one, it's good looking with some nice ironwood on it and came Charles May sharp. I really like the ergonomics of his knives. I used it Friday night to slice up some brisket.

He can't attach photos to his post unless he purchases an upgraded membership.

The instructions below are taken from the Bernard Levine forum.

To post a picture:

a: Upload or FTP it to your webspace. Your Internet Service Provider probably provides you with 5 or 10 MB of free space; if not, use a free photo-host site such as:
http://www.photobucket.com or http://www.photopoint.com

b: click in the address window of the picture's web page to copy the picture's URL using CTRL-C.

c: Use *file|open* to check that this is the correct URL. (Paste the URL into the file|open dialogue box using CTRL-V, then click go and see what happens.)

d: Then come to the forum, click on POST REPLY at the top of an earlier post, (or POST NEW TOPIC -- if it is a completely new topic; ALWAYS USE REPLY TO ADD A PICTURE OR REPLY TO AN EXISTING THREAD).

e: In the message window, paste the url. THEN

f: bracket the URL with the *UBB image codes.



UBB uses [ ] not < >

Don't forget the /slash in the closing tag only.

But first you need to upload your pictures, and make sure you have the URL's correct.
 
I don't own a My Friend model personally but I do own 4 with ironwood scales.

These are the ironwood models I do own.

The top knife is the longest one Charlie has made and the bottom one is the Wallet Mate which is the shortest one he has made. It was designed to be carried in a wallet. It is surprisingly handy to use.

The knife above the Wallet Mate is his Big Woods model, another "got to have" knife after I handled the first one made.
