Charles Vestal Chute Knife....

It's a very nice looking knife Steven, and the Chute is one of my favorite designs too. Coop has taken many pictures of Mr. Vestal's knives, and they usually come with descriptions speaking to their quality. Good to hear it from you as well..

Are they all mirrored finished to use as refelectors? I was always curious about that. I don't know that much about the history of Bob's knives, still learning as I go so forgive me if that is a newbie question. Best Regards, Rich

Mirror finish knives resist corrosion better, often cut better, are easier to clean and is the hallmark of a master stock-removal knifemaker. Mirror finishes hide no flaws.

Ironwood Loveless Chute currently running approx. $12k plus. Charles' renditions are great and always getting better.
I do not know much about holes in the guards, not anything that interests me, they are sweet knive's with or without and I am not going to be lashing my Lovelesses to anything in the near future.
The $12k is not Bob's pricing,I do not currently know what the Shop cost is.
See you all at Blade hopefully

Dave

....Bob Loveless tells everyone that the knife should be so comfortable in your hand it is like holding your d**k.:D

Great crusty line, adds to his persona...however, image; can't get it out of mind... must stop... now.

From this day forward, I will never be able to fondle a Loveless style without a smirk again.

:p

Since this thread has a LOT of life in it, I will sustain it just a bit more. I had to create a few new posters for our gig this week at the Blade Show. I saw no other knife more deserving:

Charles, thanks for the opportunity and best of fortunes!

This is my fourth 5 1/2" chute, got one from Bill Ankrom, Joe Cordova, Geno Denning and now, Charles Vestal.

They are all superb knives, but this one is my favorite, Charles is one of the easiest and most professional makers that I have had the pleasure of working with.

The Bill's Custom Case the knife shipped in, attractive and well made maker-provided sheath, excellent packaging, as well as (:D) the superb product you see in these posts just add up to a winner!

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Thanks Steven for your kind comments and for allowing me the pleasure of working with you on this knife.

Coop, Thanks for the honor of having my knife on your poster. I'll keep an eye out for it in Atlanta.

Take care

Charles

There were a Loveless and and Johnson chute knives for sale on a purveyor website , few weeks ago , both knives had holes in the guard.

As I don't know if it is right to name or link to the website ( " in doubt don't " ) .
