Charlie’s All-Steel Box

A wonderful parcel that Charlie sent you Jack. A splendid bunch of beautiful knives! From one of our finest to one of our finest!

A really fine array of steel you put together, there Charlie.

Congratulations Jack (particularly on that clasp knife grail)!

It shows up good for me. No blue.
What a nice bunch! That Henckels is super cool!

Yep, the standout for me too, out of a stellar lineup, is that fantastic little Henckels.:thumbsup:

Er...seven even! Doh!  :D

Well, you did say "no less than six", so you're covered my friend. :)

What a fantastic treasure chest to have received. I had no idea there is such a rich variety and history of all-metal knives. Congrats on the new goodies and thanks for sharing the story and the photos with us.

Charlie, well done. What a thoughtful and generous package you put together! Seeing threads like this makes me happy to hang out here where I can observe the generous tendencies of humankind that are not always reflected in other corners of the internet.

Thanks guys for warming my heart today.

That is a great looking bunch! So many gems there, it is hard to pick out a standout but the Ibberson is really neat!

Thanks for the very kind words gents :) I think Charlie is travelling :)

Nice bunch of steel knives, congrats!

I had that blue thing happen a few times. I thought it was something to do with posting text after the image without leaving a space, so it reads as a linked caption. I can't seem to reproduce the experiment now, though.

Thanks r8shell :) That's interesting, just one of the many mysteries of BF for me these days I'm afraid

Thanks a lot Duncan, hope your long journey is going ok my friend :)

Nice work Charlie, and lucky you Jack!

I have a knife similar to your St. Paul Mickey's special, but mine features Cleveland OH. Made by A&A Manufacturer, Solingen, it seems more of a souvenir than real knife, being of very thin stamped aluminum.

BTW, what is the significance of the broad A? (Being military issue it could be an instruction on which end to hold the knife:D, but I suspect there's more to it.)

Thanks Tom :) This one seems very well made :) The 'Crow's Foot' or 'Broad Arrow' is a British Commonwealth Military Acceptance Stamp, in this case for the Canadian Navy I believe

That made in Brazil Jack looks like a good user if it holds an edge decently.

I'll certainly be giving it a go :)

Nice lot Jack. Particularly like that little fella. You have a thoughtful friend.

Thanks pal, I certainly have :)
