I got in touch with "Charlie Mike" in September to see about having a custom fighter made. Communication was constant both on phone and email, and I was frequently given updates and pictures of progress. Service was awesome and I really felt like I had input on the design the entire time. I received the knife today, and it exceeded my expectations. Very clean, well-designed work. Top notch Kydex as well. I would not hesitate to work with him again (I definitely hope to) and solidly recommend taking a look at his stuff if you're in the market for a no-nonsense fighting/combat blade.
 
I have to agree with your assessment of a no-nonsense work knife, the one he made for me,it's just that and more! I gave him some information on what I was going to use it for, and he sent me pictures of a design that has really worked for me, all within a couple of days. I could not be happier and the reason for the question, Matt had said that if he was doing V grinds, his work load would go through the roof. With his zero edge chisel grind on the "right" side I am finding a new love for an edge that is stronger and easier to maintain.

Was never a big fan of chisel grinds until I bought one from Josh Mason. My opinion has since "evolved." CM's been a maker on my "gotta try" list for a while, no doubt. 'cause of his indefatigable indefatigability as well as his grinding skills. Big fan for a long time, CM. Keep up the good work, brother.
