What he didn't tell you was I had to make this knife 3 times! I got a bunk order of A2 from NJSB that cracked every buckin time. I learned my lesson and ordered some A2 from AKS and it went off without a hitch.
Nice work CM ! I really like A2 steel a lot. Looks like your blade got hot as my old Harley pipes in the grinding process. Tell us about the heat treat ? Once again nice job.
yeah didnt want to log down the great end result with our bad luck. What he didn't tell you was I had to make this knife 3 times! I got a bunk order of A2 from NJSB that cracked every buckin time. I learned my lesson and ordered some A2 from AKS and it went off without a hitch.
I like the blade, but the deep finger finger choil seems like it would limit the different grips you could get and the sharp corner might dig in if you really choke up on it. Other than that though the handle looks like a nice simple shape that should work pretty well.
Now my fingers are boney so it may not be a problem for you at all.
Overall I like it and it seems pretty well thought out, and I hope my speculated issue with the finger choil is actually not an issue at all.
yep 7 and a hair more blade length. just about 12" total length.Nice design. What's the blade length? (around 7" from the initial picture) I like your dangler sheath. They work very well for general non-urban use.
do it you wont regret it.Now I want one
What is the Rockwell # on your heat treat ?
