Charlow Barlow History

I was researching variations in the style of saw cut, types of handle covers, and tube art, on the Charlows and put together a pictorial that may entertain some of us. Not a complete listing of every cover material or tube, but gives an idea of the timing and variations of the various runs. The quoted images are all from this thread http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1009441-What-Makes-a-Good-Traditional-Barlow/

The first run Charlows are tang stamped with the 12 as the last digits, they were all Spear Bladed.

A Charlow from 2013 with some of my fathers artwork scrimshawed into the yellow bone handles. Maybe my favorite and the one that encompasses the spirit of a Barlow best to me!
Posted when I was laid up with COVID, this personalized Barlow in the previous thread makes a worthy note to bump this thread for research purposes!! Thanks for posting that great Barlow Eads1999 Eads1999 !!!

I've been referencing this thread for a while and it's a great resource. I'm not sure why it isn't active but I thought I would post up some 2014 walnuts and maybe get it rolling again. Have a great day.
