Das Boot is indeed German for Boat.
In American, English, Latin, Greek, and Indo-European, it means You will be Submarined, Torpedoed, Blasted out the water, Tossed over-board, Sunk, Capsized, and maybe even Drowned (floods happen).
Sometimes we go with a Old West theme and stage a shootout at the OK corral. Then their are the fishermen who like to slap each other around with large trout. I myself sometimes use a large Walnut 2 X 4.
The important thing is to try to hang on to your sense of humor, and keep your head above the water.
