Cheap 1x30 grinder build

Both wheels are 5" in diameter. Contact wheel I a 1x5 hand truck caster. Minimal parts: motor, plywood, shelf bracket, and cast. Took about an hour to build.

Good work - 1X30" grinders really do make good sharpening systems, and I made a couple of knives when I first started.With your skills you could make a nice 2X72" with VFD for less than $500 or so.

Building a 2x72 now. Only did this one for hollow grinds. Works surprisingly well. I have a harbor freight 1x30 and it is painfully slow grinding bevels into a knife. I made 3 straight razors on this. Spent less the 20 minute grinding the bevels on each.
