Cheap chinese SV35 folder. Fake or real?

I have bought batteries, flashlights, adapters etcetera from [link removed] in the past, and even though the build quality usually is about what you pay for, the descriptions on the web site are often fairly accurate. Now, the knives they sell are crap I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole, but are usually labeled as such (at least to people who know what 3CR or "stainless steel" means).
Then I stumbled upon these:
Links removed
Chinese knives with good blade steel are not unheard of, but they're usually a lot more expensive (if you're getting the prices in Swedish Krona from the links above, just divide by ten for USD).
So, weird design and crappy grammar in the descriptions notwithstanding, is there a chance these are the real deal?

Hey bud, posting links to non-sponsored websites is not allowed.

Anyway from your description, it sounds fake.

Looking at the links which should be removed these knives are fake Serge Pachenko knives, the same designer responsible for the Spyderco dogtag knife.

Though I have no idea what they are made of all of these knives are quite small knives, not much bigger than a dogtag.

Someone should bring these to Serge Pachenko's artention though. These are shameless ripoffs.

Whoops, sorry about that! I removed the links. I didn't recognise the designs, but having googled Serge Pachenko, they do seem like knock-offs. I mailed Serge about them. Thanks for clearing that up!

LA police gear branded a s35vn knife for $35 and made in China for sale for a while now with good reviews. This tells me two things,
#1 China has access to s35vn steel
#2 this premium steel can be had at a very low price

There is one other (more likely) option.
#3 The company that is not being honest by stealing a design, is also not being honest with its customer base in favor of the almighty dollar.

Which do you think is more likely amongst those that don't think twice to steal from one person?
#1 Lie to another person out of greed
Or
#2 Start being honest out of the blue

Noone is "partially" trustworthy...

Umm you should go look that knife up before making accusations. It's a simple flipper design and LA police gear has designed and made many knives and other gadgets under its own brand.

Kershaw has manufactured in the USA an HOB exclusive Link in S35VN for right around $75.

Kizer has shown again and again despite the failings of detractors that S35VN IS available in China and can arrive on US shores in the form of quality knives for great prices.

Each situation/knife must be judged individually but why are we still acting surprised to find quality Chinese knives actually in the materials they advertise? Hasn't this fact been beaten to death?

i dont believe its real s35vn and if it is, whats the heat treat? too soft and it wont keep an edge at all.

anyone do any real world testing with it?

This sums everything up.

China has a history of providing materials that are not what they say they are. many compaines in china use s35vn. in fact crucible have a distribution center in china for them and many manufactures in china actually use real s35vn... but they are priced accordingly and proven to be real s35vn from testing.

I notice it doesn't have the typical CPM in front of the s35vn stamp. It may just be the same formulation from a Chinese manufacturer.

The knife gets good reviews, but I still question their source. They also sell a blatant Kershaw Leek knockoff with a different blade profile. Fine if it's Kershaw, but I doubt Kershaw would bother tooling their Chinese plant to make a lower priced version of their own USA made knife just to supply LAPG.

S35vn is available in china for sure. The heat treat also has to be considered as mentioned. I remember seeing Cedricada on YouTube testing a variety of steels for edge retention. The kizer scored higher than zt if I recall correctly. Much more higher. Go figure.
