Cheap file jig

I hope this is the correct forum to post this. I am a complete newbie to knife making and have learned tons from the posts and work on this site. Thanks to everyone for sharing so much wisdom and time here. Its nothing fancy but I made a little file guide. Hope it helps someone out or gives them better ideas.

Did you file that bevel in your setup as shown in the photo? Looks like your blade would have to be much closer to the edges of the wood to work but maybe it's just the angle of the image.

No thats just a piece of wood for contrast. The jig like Mr coops or Gough Custom, at least for me, only works close to the edge. I made the Gough Custom one but had to overhang the edge to file the bevel otherwise I was grinding wood. Still trying to sort out how to get it all to work tight.
