Is the Flint the same material used by Kershaw?

I have the CountyComm Hotspark. It works very well. I chucked it up in a drill and ground the handle to about 3/4" round, so it doesn't wear a flat spot on the rod and also so it fits better on a necklace. Not so pretty now though.
