I would like to get a good flipper but under $70,any help? I like the look of the crkt ripple

^This guy knows what's up. I have a Skyline (brown g10 model) and it's the best bargain flipper out there. Tiny tweaks to the pivot and it shoots out with no wrist action. I love the thing.

I recently got a Buck Vantage Force Pro and it's a very impressive flipper. It snaps into place assuredly and reliably. It has a 3.25" black oxide coated blade of S30V steel and mine has a black/blue contoured G10 handle. I paid $70 delivered.

Can't speak from experience but the Kershaw zing, seems like a super flipper for a 40$ price tag. Designed by Rj martin... Heck yeah! I think I'm going to have to add one of these to my collection.

Skyline is the way to go. Simple, reliable, affordable, USA-made...doesn't get much better than that.

What about spring assisted or not

If a flipper beeds to be assisted, they didn't do it right. Check out the Kershaw Zing or Skyline, CRKT Ripple, AG Russell Skorpion. That's a couple off the top of my head.

I just received my Ripple today and must have flipped it open for an hour straight. Not carried it yet so I can't say how the pocket clip is, but it wasn't uncomfortable to me.

Up there in #4 I recommended the Skyline. Well, I learned something today. Stopped over to Cabelas during lunch and went right to knives looking for the Thermite. I saw one in the clamshell pack and the knife associate opened it up for me. Let me tell you, the Thermite is very, very nice indeed! So, I'll add a runner-up vote to nwmetalbug and Maddog774 and say - Thermite! (The Skyline is, of course, USA made and has Sandvik stainless.) Think I'm gonna order me one. ;)

A lot of good knives mentioned. I own a cryo, skyline and ripple and I used to own a vantage pro. All of them are great knives, but in my opinion none of them holds a candle to the Kershaw Junkyard Dog. It is easily one of the best knives Kershaw has ever made and probably my favorite. The flipping action of that $70 knife rivals that of my $350 brous division. Go for the junkyard dog (jyd 2.2) you will not be disappointed.

I totally agree with you.

Having handled shirogorovs, RJ martins and bodegas, I can honestly say that the JYD really is a terrific flipper. It might even be the best flipper for under $100. You really won't go wrong with a JYD.
