I agree with making a strop. I went to a saddle shop and bought a couple feet of 2 inch wide scrap. I then went to home depot and bought some broken 2 inch hardwood strips. Contact cement and home made strop. Less than $10. Glue cost the most out of the whole deal, but I have enough to make 100 strops.
