here's another cheap knife... if i were more patient i'd get through without any edge damage, or i could grind the edge to 45 degrees inclusive

knife weighs in at under 3 oz

got video but my hammering knocked it out of field

I want to see you build one made specifically to chop through the chain.

Maybe after Blade?

Next task could be cutting through machine gun barrels as per myth of Japanese Katanas during WWII?

If you can chop thorugh this chain with ANY knife, you sir are a bad*** 100 points go to anyone that can identify that chain.

To me a preference in guns, knives, automobiles, or most anything for that matter is choice of balancing pro vs. con. to come to hopefully a good choice. Automobiles with more room and horse power come at the expense of less mpg. Guns-more recoil and higher priced ammunition & knives -do I plan to attack the trees and masonry around the house or go into a severe survival mode then a tough thick knife is what I need. If I need a knife for a back country elk hunt then a finely ground knife which can hold a sharp edge gutting, skinning, and de-boning an elk is more desirable. Perfection is what we all strive for-balance that works for us is the definition of success.

As many as you want. This chain can only be broken with a grinder with diamond wheel, or gas axe, or thermic lance. This thing will jam up the jaws of life!

I once saw a guy cut down a small tree with a Lutefisk!

As someone who was forced to eat lutefisk as a kid, I'd rather cut down a small tree with it than eat it! :D

Even chain cutters made for hi-test chain don't cut it, the jaws put pressure on the link until it breaks (and you have to cut both sides).
