I have bought this one as well as the Navy and Sanremu copies to see for myself what this is all about.

They are sized that of a small not large Seb. This one in particular while pretty, is garbage quality.

It is worth only what you pay for it. In other words if its $10 and a real Seb is $400 the real Seb will offer you 40 times the quality, enjoyment, and piece of mind, as this things framelock is very poor quality and worries me if used it would close on your hands.

No one that appreciates even a $30 knife will value that and any friends will quickly see even not knowing anything about knives its junk.

If you want cheap there are lots of Under $40 knives you can be proud of. Do a search we answer the recommendation once a week here in a post of folks asking the how to buy on a budget or whats the best knife under $X questions.

I agree that it's not right to put Chris Reeve Knives on the blade & his logo on the handle, we are not on an even playing field with China who buys USA notes like no other country and heaven forbid they decided to "cash in."

They play by their own rules and it seems like anything USA produced is fair game and has been for awhile in all of the marketplace. The knife sucks and it could never give you even a "hint" of the pleasure that a Sebenza does.

That said, they do have in BOLD type above the website pics, I believe "This is not Original." I guess I'd give them a very minor credit for that even though they're cheats and copycats.

In terms of buyers, that's mostly true. However, to those having their property (intellectual or otherwise) stolen, it matters a great deal.

I don't usually mind when companies adapt someones design, the SRM 710 for example doesn't really offend me... it's different enough.

but this is just sickening. It's a shame that companies who are capable of making decent knives resort to this. This knife probably isn't going to fool anyone though.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------They are not junk..Sanrenmu makes knives for Spyderco and CRKT..I have lots of expensive knives in my collection and still EDC these inexpensive knives..I love the 763, and have the model 704 in my pocket right now..Knife and steel snobs are, more irritating to me than a few cheap look alike's, coming from China.Only Mr. Magoo would mistake a real Sebenza for a 710.

At least they're buying a knife. It may lead to them eventually moving to buy a quality knife.
