Cheap Strop

I strop on a 7/16" diameter basswood dowel to touch up the edges of my knives. No buffing compound is needed until the dowel gets too slick, then I either get a new dowel, sand the old one down a bit with coarse sandpaper, or else apply a buffing compound to the old dowel.
