Cheap Thrills-confession time

i'm looking at a stag German Eye sodbuster right now. still a reasonable price.

if i don't win it, it'll probably be a yellow CV Case.

i had the large Okapi ringlock and it was great once i put a real edge on it. if i get another it'll be the small clip point with bail.

anyone have one of the Japanese 'schoolboy' knives? small friction folder with brass handle. been looking at them from time to time for about a year now. laminated 'blue' steel for $24. link:

Rough Rider also do a red bone jigged handle sodbuster with liner lock. Not sure how this works though.

The Rough Rider sodbuster is pretty good, and available in a few more handle options now. The linerlock is secure. Fit and finish is quite good for a knife costing several times as much. The only downside, I think, is they only come in the large size.

Another fun Rough Rider is the Deer Slayer. It's a copy of the Bulldog/clasp knife, almost ridiculously large at about 5 1/4" closed. It sits surprisingly well in the pocket, however.

I have come across a couple NOS Colonials. Funky things, they are. Is Colonial still in business?

Actually, I have a Remington Daddy Barlow that is around 5" closed and it rides quite well in the front pocket of a pair of jeans. Yup, surprised me too!
