Hi everyone,

I have an xbox 360 pro for sale that has been having a problem, The screen just goes black when I turn it on or once I start to play it. I dont know how to fix it so Im selling it. It comes with the system itself, one wireless controller, composite av cords and power cords/brick, no hard drive. This console is in great shape never kicked, dropped, hit or mistreated. It just went out on me out of nowhere. Contact me for any other questions at- schrohar at hotmail dot com or pm me.

Im asking $110 OBO-paypal or usps MO. CONUS only please.
I dont know how much shipping will be so Ill have to see I may cover or split it with you depending on our deal and price we end up at.

Thanks for looking.
:)

You can ship it back to Microsoft for free and they will fix it for free if it is a defect and wasn't dropped or whatever. Check their website. They will email you a shipping label to print off and ship it to them.

Ive already checked with them, its not the red ring or E74 error and its been over 3 years so they said its not covered and wouldnt have been covered even if it was still before the 3 yr mark :grumpy:

Try again. This time, if the associate who helps you doesn't get er done for you, ask for a supervisor and state your case plainly. Worked for me on one occasion.

have you tried a different AV connection cord? if it's on sometimes and then goes black, while other times it just stays black, and you don't get an error message then that sounds like a loose connection outside of the Xbox.

Blades, let me tell you some very useful information. Go online to the Xbox website repair and put in that you have 3 red lights, ship it to them (or they ship you a free box if they still do that) and they will HAVE to repair/replace it, even if it does not really have 3 red lights. This is how I got mine replaced and avoided any charges.

hope this helps

I have a friend that couldn't get Microsoft to replace his 360 for an unrelated issue. So he turned on the Xbox, and left it on 24x7 until it got the Red Ring of Death. I'd do that so they don't come back and say that they didn't find anything wrong with it. Wrap it in a blanket for good measure.

Right, there are several things you can do to get this shipped and repaired absolutely free, the fact that you are unwilling or unable to try leads one to believe it is not broken as per your description but in some other way as to prevent you or anyone else from getting it fixed by Microsoft so I think you will have a hard time selling it.

Guys I appreciate all the help, I tried to get it to red ring as well but it turns itself off once it starts to over heat at two red rings and it shuts down. And if i turn it on again it will run a bit then shut down and wont get the three rings, I had it wrapped in towels as well lol. ALSO its out of warranty so even if I did get it to red ring now I'd be screwed because its been over three years since I bought it and they said that it is no longer under any kind of warranty and I would have to pay for repairs. The extended red ring and e74 message warranty goes for three years after the purchase date and Ive had mine longer then that. So theres no warranty left on this one and I cant send it in for free :(
And Im not lying about the description there either, that is exactly my problem that Im having and Im trying to sell it because I cant fix it or send it in, and I know theres guys out there that know how to fix these things.

Blades, just go to xbox.com, register it, see if it says your warranty is still active and then go from there. Don't call and talk to some phone operator in india. If warranty is still good, fill out the online form and put that you have 3 red lights and send it in even if you don't have 3 red lights.

you're not the first person to have a broken 360 :)

oh yes, and since your system is broke (black screen = messed up graphics card/solder connection etc) , why would you sell it when the person who buys it cannot send it in for a repair or have any use for it..
