i just got my order from cheapbatteries.com and ive got to say, theyre awesome.
i called them on wednesday to place my order for 100 DL223s (to split into 123s).
i got the batteries on friday

i paid $105 for the batteries including the shipping, which works out to be about $0.52 per 123 cell!!!!!!!!!!!:D

hopefully ill have my SF M6 in a few days and ill be able to start feeding it!

they dont have an expiration date on the batteries, but they did tell me that if i was in any way unhappy with the batteries i could return them for a full refund.

i compared them to a set of SF 123s and duracell ultra 123s and theyre all putting out just about the same voltage (cant really be accurate enough to give numbers because it was an analog meter, but they put out just a smidge less juice then the SFs and about the same as the duracell ultras)

and for 52 cents a battery, you cant go wrong.

What tools do you need to separate the DL223? I have heard it's a difficult task and time consuming?

theyres a bunch of different ways you can seperate the 223s, the method i ussually use is i put the big metal brush/cutter thingy (im not sure what its called) attachment on my dremel, then cut down between the middle of the batteries at the bottom of the case, just enough so that theyre exposed. (about 3-5 seconds) then i take a long flat heat screwdriver and pry open the rest of the case (about 30 seconds) then i seperate them from the metal strip that holds them together and wrap them in tape(either electrical or scotch)

im sure theyres other ways to do it as well, ive also used a leather man super tool once for the whole process, and it took maybe 2 minutes all together.

for me the time it takes is more than justified by the cost of the batteries.
