• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

cheaper titanium

Apparently, researchers have developed a cheaper and quicker way to produce titanium. This could be good news for knife nuts.

Would you tell us where you found or heard of this information? I'd be interested in reading the article if possible.

Pardon me 'cause I think I'm losing my mind. I just read this this morning and now I can't remember where I read it! I thought it was in an email I get from a science news organization containing a daily roundup of recent scientific research. But I can't find it there. It may have been in Science News, but I don't have the copy I was reading this morning at home. As I remember it, it was based on an article published in Nature on Sept. 21. BUT I could be wrong because I get the contents of Nature shipped to me by email and I can't find a listing for Sept 21. Evidently I deleted that particular one. Maybe monday when I go into my office, I will find the source. Sorry. But if you have access to the science journal Nature (should be in the local library), it think it might be in there.

The article I read was in Science News. It's also online. Someone read the thread and emailed me the URL (thanks Rich). You can read it at: http://www.sciencenews.org/20000923/fob3.asp
