i'm looking to buy a paragon km-24d heat treat oven and am wondering if anyone can direct me to the least expensive source. i've done an internet search, but perhaps there's a dealer on these boards with better prices who doesn't show up in the search engines?

thanks in advance!

Try Googling it just as Paragon kilns without any reference to knifemaking. i found mine for almost $200 cheaper than anyone else had it from one of their big pottery kiln dealers. I think that I paid like $975 plus shipping. BUT, before you order, make sure you have a power outlet that runs that oddball 20 amp 230v power. It is the same type of outlet that you used to have back in the day for old window unit air conditioners.

Wow, I didn't realize they had a 36" model. Thanks for the link, Mike!

I found a pristine 10 year old Paragon 24" on Craig's list for $450. I know it's a longshot but check your local listings. You might get lucky!

I think that they make larger models on custom order, but if I was looking to go that big, I would consider high salt pots.

thanks fellers...those look promising and i'm seeing better prices than what i've found, although freight costs is where it gets iffy...
