Hi gents-

I've been hankering for a full tang F1 for quite a while now, one with some thicker and preferably gently contoured slabs. Not too picky about materials, micarta would be kosher.

What's the cheapest source you guys know of for one? JRE? Gonna sell off my standard F1 and a couple of others for funding.

If you're up to it you can buy a blank and make your own handle for it. There are a few places that have the blanks for sale on the net. I think I'm going to go that route this winter only with a S1.

I would go that route too. all you would need is a few pins, sandpaper, and maybe some wood rasps.

Just checked out prices on those blanks, looks muuuch nicer! A little timid about slapping scales on myself though... hmm...

Here's a couple of links that might help. I'm sure you can find more if you look around. As long as you take your time you shouldn't have any problem. The nice thing about doing it yourself is you can have the exact color and type of wood/micarta you want and the exact shape you want.

Knifesupply has the best prices on fallkniven blanks I've ever seen.

If I can do it, so can you.:D Micarta is actually very easy to work with if you have a dremel.

If you need some help with putting the handles on Will, just let me know I would be more than willing to help you.
