It's an intensely competitive market. Also as with anything, some dealers are better than others - returns with no hassle, guaranteed factory fresh product, quick shipping, etc.
Again, as with any retail item, it does pay to shop around.

I have found the best price for a certain knife can be obtained by searching the knife and checking the prices that you get back. I had bought several Cold Steel Tilites this way, and ended up paying $32 for the small plastic, $98 for the small titaium , $42 for the large Plastic and $108 for the new blue titaium....this was from one vendor. I also found Camillius Heats for $38 from another seller.....just have to look.....
