I got the plain Arclite but wasn't wild about the grip. So I sent it off to Taz, one of our own here at BF. He put some G-10, black-green scales on and bead blasted them for a little better grip. I wanted something that would blend in nicely with camo clothing, and I think this color really fits the bill. Thanks Taz!

I like it. You've got yourself a "semi-custom" for probably a very reasonable price. Nice going!:) :)

if anyone is interested, email me :)

Nice Job Taz...I will have you do one for me soon....thanks for posting the pictures Guyon...nice of you!

Hey Taz, are you going to the Chesapeake Knife Show?

This has me thinking that the Arc Lite could be a pretty dang good knife. Especially in D2.

Taz, how much for the custom handle work? What's the turn around time? Can you make a custom handle that covers up the top whole?

Unfortunately, it appears if you cover the entire handle, you're then out for another sheath. :(

I cord wrapped mine to the top hole, then trimmed the sheath to fit. Plenty of material there to retain solid retention.

Yes, I will be at the Timonium/Chesapeake show, and for more than 1 hour this year!!! :) If someone is interested, email me, as i cannot discuss price on the open forum, and it varies for the material. Micarta and G10 are the same price, many colors available, but woods, like ironwood, are more expensive. I can also make new neck sheaths, too, if people want the handle to go full length, and that will also affect the price.

As for turn around time, I am a full time college student, and work part time as a Loss Prevention Detective. I can't do much of the work at college, so I need to wait till I come home for a break. my next break will be at Christmas time.

Third party Kydex sheaths are a bargain. You can dress up the handle of a $40 D-2 ARCLITE with $5 worth of materials and get a $30 after market sheath that will be a lot better than the factory one, and you will have an excellent knife and carry system for $75.

I am so into the Camillus ARCLITE its funny.

Call AG Russell on the 800 number on his web site. If they are out of them already, they will be getting more in the near future I am sure.
