Terry--

Would you be able to make a scabbard for a WWI Maharaj of Jodhpur khukuree? It's the 'open back' design (half, 3/4s ?) with a strap near the mouth of the scabbard to hold the khuk in place. I have such a khuk but it's missing its scabbard.

cheers,
--B.

Beoram,
That khukuri is where the quick draw sheath came from.
I have one of the Jodhur khukuris here. It is almost complete it's only missing the brass stud for the retaining strap. The only thing I couldn't do at the time would be the big steel chape.
It would run $70+sh. I'm gonna go look at that chape right now!
God Bless.

Terry - I didn't realise that the Jodhpur & quick-draw scabbard were the same, suppose I should have  :)

So do you leave it without a chape or..? I was thinking of trying to make this scabbard myself, but it seems rather complicated..so since you're back in business maybe it's better if I don't try it myself ;) I'll let you know.

Bruise - I was confused for a moment and then I realised. I got it about a month ago, Uncle had it up (http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=211625&highlight=hanshee+bura ) and I snapped it up pretty quickly :) It's a fabuluous khuk! Notice that the handle too is somewhat curved which is more unusual in HI khuks.

cheers all,
--Ben

Beoram,
I checked the metal chape out and I can make a exact copy. Just e-mail me if you decide to ship.
God Bless.

That's great Terry, that you can do the chape too! :)

Let me get things sorted out here and 10:1 I'll send an email soon.

thanks again,
--B.
