i ordered a knife from stephen fowler, about a week ago... i got a meesage today saying that it was done.... talk about fast....

check this thing out... it came out awesome....:eek: i can't wait to get my hands on this one... he also did a small tutorial on how it was made..

Wow Mike:eek: That is a beautiful blade. Looks like a tapered tang, and differential heat treat (sorry didn't read any specs), is it???

i don't think he tapered the tang on this one.... and is far as i know, it isn't differential heat treated...

i can't wait to get this guy....:D
 
actually thats a yes to both, tapered tang and i differential heat treat everything i make

you can't hardly tell but i used black spacer material also

I have a question. Did you drill the holes before or after you glued up the scales????
 
i drill the holes first, then use the pins to index the scales while i polish the bolster face of the scales

Really nice looking knife.

I'll grant I must be a nitwit but I don't understand how the blocks work. What is the file guided against? Also, I didn't see the knife price. I am very curious about that also.
