Hey Vaq, I have an old shop made 72" machine, has a 1X10 90 durometer serrate wheel, worn well, and an Idler. You supply the motor and drive wheel. I used a 2 hp 3450 baldor on the unit, thats what its taped for. This was my first semi professional grinder built for me by Bob Dozier about 15 years ago. I graduated to a 5hp. Baldor cranking 3450 with a 10" rubbered tired drive wheel. Makes the big ones small and the small ones gone!

I'm still using my 4x36 and have the real grinder bug too. Has anyone tried turning wooden wheels for a homemade 1x whatever?
