We haven't had a "show and tell" for the venerable Stockman in recent history, so I thought I'd start one up and see who wants to play;) ! Derived from the Cattle pattern, I consider a serpentine 3 or 4 blade knife, with the usual blades needed for working domestic livestock to be a "Stockman".
I'm betting most knife people have owned at least one in their lives!!
For starters, here are a couple of Schrade Waldens, an 881 with composite handles, and an 882Y with birdseye rivets. So what have you got in your "stock", or in your pocket??

Another Walden with that beautiful peachseed jigged bone, and a stag Schrade+USA.

Here is one that I inherited from my foster Grandad who was a superlative hunter of small game and the greatest perch fisherman I ever knew!..

He carried this knife so much that the jigged green bone and Case shield is nearly worn smooth and appears translucent.

These ratty old guys have some special presence in my collection. Knives don't have to be perfect to be enjoyed IMHO! We've got an old worn Schrade Cut. Co. from before WWII, and an older Henry Sears. The Henry Sears is very special, because it has a Locking Punch to keep you from splitting your thumb when you are trying to wrestle (forgot to sharpen it, tsk, tsk!) that baby through a leather harness (ouch)! If you notice the funny shape of the main blade tang, it is fitted to a release. When you squeeze the main blade, it releases the punch!
The ones that have survived are very rare!

On the other hand, here is one that was never used that is waiting to be sold for a profit..:D

I've only got one Stockman to bring to the party, Case XX Damascus & Stag. One of the first knives I bought when I first began collecting stag. It was my first Damascus knife.

In keeping with Waynorths old soldier theme, here is an old and well worn Remington stockman. Beat up as it is the blades are still pretty tight and the springs still have snap in them.

Hey SunnyD is that old knife of your Grandad's a #18 pattern and if so is it a 6418? Very cool knife and a honarable description of the man that carried it.
Thanks to everyone who posted pics.

Very nice stag and Damascus there Phil and what a fine old vintage Remington with the classic acorn shield Arathol! What do they call those scales again?. Something like peanutbutter swirl celluloid or some such. My uncle Lew had one just like it or very near it.. Great stockmans Guys.

Here is a Buck to mix things up some..

Great looking stag, Phil. I've always liked the stag/damascus combo that Case made!

sunny, I think that's not redbone, but a reddish "walnut" bone from the year 2000. Not 100% sure; I'm suffering from CRS I think!
Nice CVs yourself old son! I hope you are getting something real good for them!!
