Examined this one while I was at the McAlevy shop picking up my own smaller knife with similar hand checkering. The tulipwood is gorgeous and the checkering adds to both the looks and the grip. The handle is very comfortable and the balance would make it a joy to use, even for extended sessions. The sheath is also beautiful and looks to be a custom fit for the knife. I would probably add a dangler if you were going to wear it on the belt around camp, but otherwise I'd say it's a perfect camp knife that you'd be happy using for multiple tasks or just sitting around admiring its looks and feel. I could tell that Matthew was contemplating keeping this one for himself, though, so don't hesitate too long to grab this deal.
