Hello fellas its me again with another question. I have found some checkering files on line for about 39-45 bucks. What brand and are there any less expensive ones out there? Thanks again!

I have a swiss made Grobet 20 LPI from Brownells. I think it was about 30 bucks with the business discount. I have a friend who is a well respected gunsmith, he reccomended this brand. So far I have used it on 4 D-2 blades. Keep it clean and it cuts great.

Hey, Panch. Go ahead and order a couple and throw one up to me :D. I've been meaning to pick one of those up.

I'll trade ya for your old heat treat oven Nath.:D Nice website BTW I hadn't seen it before today.
I 'm still in the should I or shouldn't I stage right now. We all know which one usually wins on that one.

Thanks! Haha...I'd send you my old oven, but i think it would be dust and crumpled metal by the time it got to you. It's not, how do you say...robust. :D
